Service
web-down.com (“the Service”) provides best-effort uptime monitoring of URLs you choose to monitor. Checks run from a single European data center on a 5-minute interval. We do not guarantee 100% uptime of the monitoring service itself — occasional missed checks during VPS reboots or upstream incidents are possible.
Acceptable use
You may only monitor URLs that you own or have permission to monitor. You may not use the Service to perform load testing, denial-of-service, or unauthorized scanning. The free tier rate limit (30 checks per hour per IP-prefix) applies to anonymous use. Paid plans are subject to fair-use limits described in the dashboard.
Subscriptions and refunds
Subscriptions are billed via Polar.sh (our merchant of record). Prices shown are exclusive of VAT — VAT is added at checkout based on your billing country. You may cancel anytime through the customer portal; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are evaluated case-by-case for unused service time.
Trial
The 14-day free trial requires no credit card. After 14 days, monitors are paused until payment is added. We send reminders at 7, 3, and 1 day before trial expiration.
Limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes are notified via email or in the dashboard. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
